Creative lifestyle brand is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Event and Sales to oversee all aspects of our event operations, ensuring seamless execution and unparalleled service delivery. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and a proven track record of success in managing events of varying scales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing team of event managers, coordinators, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Event Management: Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of all on and off-premise events, ensuring flawless coordination of logistics, staffing, and resources.
• Client Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver customized solutions and exceed expectations.
• Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness in all event-related services and supplies. Additionally, maximize revenue by upselling and managing clients’ budgets effectively
• Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and revenue to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety standards, liquor licensing, and food handling practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and service enhancement, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into event performance, trends, and opportunities for growth.
• Financial: Manage project P&L’s, budget creation, submission and reconciliation with Finance teams
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in event management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse portfolio of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and empower a diverse team to achieve common goals
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels
• Strategic thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
